Who We Are

The Arab Council for Regional Integration is a pan-Arab initiative, launched in cooperation with the Center for Peace Communications, devoted to bringing security and prosperity to the Middle East, North Africa, and the Gulf by promoting a spirit of partnership that knows no borders.

Our members include prominent Arab men and women in media, politics, the private sector, civil society, academic circles, and the arts — in North Africa, the Eastern Mediterranean, the Gulf states, and Arab diaspora communities.

The Council seeks to advance a culture of coexistence and integration among all the region’s races and ethnicities, colors and creeds, religions and sects.

The Middle East and North Africa have been plagued by a legacy of exclusion and rejection of the Other that has spread beyond it through organizations inciting boycotts in economic, cultural, social, artistic, athletic ad other civil series — part of a larger campaign to sow division, schism, hatred, extremism, and exclusion of the Other, particularly Jews and Israelis.

This destructive legacy must be overcome by growing coexistence and cooperation in order to ensure a better future for present and future generations.

We call upon governments, businesses, and civil society in our region and the wider world to support this worthy goal — by enacting policies and practices supportive of an integrated region and defending against the forces of intolerance and exclusion.
